Plan a trip with friends
Ideas, votes, bookings, arrival times and who has paid what. Everyone adds from their own assistant, so the plan doesn’t get lost in the group chat.
An example
@ADoor I booked the cabin in Åre for Feb 12–15, 9,600 total. Put me down as paid. Also add a vote: dog sledding or ski school on Saturday?
ADoor Added 1 entry to Bookings and 1 to Votes
What you can ask later
- “What’s still not booked?”
- “Who arrives when on Friday?”
- “What’s winning the Saturday vote?”
- “How much does each of us owe so far?”
Who can see what
- Everyone on the trip adds ideas, votes and bookings from their own assistant.
- Only the organizer can delete entries, so nobody removes a booking by mistake.
- A friend who joins late can be added at any time, and removed just as easily.
How it compares with a group chat and a spreadsheet
A group chat is better for the banter, and Google Sheets is better if one person wants a detailed budget on screen.
In ADoor the decisions stay out of the scroll. Everyone adds from their own assistant, votes are counted, and anyone can ask what’s still missing.
How to start
- Open an assistant like ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or Cursor and connect ADoor through MCP.
- Tell it: “Plan a trip with my friends: Ideas, Votes, Bookings (what, dates, booked by, cost) and Arrivals. Invite the group.”
- Keep delete access to yourself, so nobody removes a booking by mistake.
