Track important documents
Passports, insurance policies, the lease, the car registration. ADoor, your data account, keeps the number, the expiry date and where the original is, so a passport doesn’t run out the month before a trip.
An example
@ADoor My passport expires on June 2, 2027, it's in the desk drawer. Home insurance policy 4471-22 renews January 1, the papers are in my email.

What you can ask later
- “What expires in the next six months?”
- “Is my passport valid for a trip in May?”
- “What’s our home insurance policy number, and when does it renew?”
- “When does the lease end, and how much notice do we need to give?”
Who can see what
- Only you by default.
- Your partner can read and update household documents, while your personal ones stay private.
- A family member you trust can get read access to where originals are kept, without document numbers.
How it compares with a folder or a password manager
A password manager like 1Password is better for storing scans and sensitive numbers with strong encryption. ADoor doesn’t store files.
For the overview, ADoor is quicker: what you have, when each thing expires and where to find it. Ask your assistant before you book a trip or renew a policy, or have a scheduled task in ChatGPT or Claude check for anything expiring next month.
How to start
- Connect ADoor to your assistant. ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Cursor all connect through MCP.
- Tell it: “Keep a list of important documents: document, holder, number, issued, expires, where the original is and notes.”
- Go through the drawer once and tell your assistant what you find.
Questions people ask
Should I store passport numbers here?
You can, with access limited to you. If you prefer, store only the expiry date and where the document is.
Can I add the kids’ passports?
Yes. Add a Holder field for each person.
What does it cost?
Nothing on the free plan, which holds 3 tables and 100 rows. Pro is $10 a month per workspace, with 1 GB of storage and no per-GB charges.
