Keep a plant care log

Which plants you have, where they stand, how often they need water, and when you last watered, fed or repotted them. Ask what’s due before you pick up the watering can.

An example

@ADoor Watered the monstera and the fiddle leaf today, and repotted the pothos into the bigger pot.

What you can ask later

  • “Which plants are due for water this week?”
  • “When did I last feed the citrus?”
  • “Which plants haven’t been repotted in two years?”
  • “What did I do for the orchid before it flowered last time?”

Who can see what

  • Only you by default.
  • A neighbor watering while you travel gets read access to Plants and add access to Plant care, removed when you’re back.
  • Your household can each log watering, so nobody waters the same plant twice.

How it compares with a plant care app

Planta wins at identifying plants from a photo and giving species care advice with reminders.

ADoor keeps your plants’ history: what you did and when, logged in a sentence. When you travel, a neighbor gets exactly the access they need and loses it when you’re back. Your assistant can still give the care advice.

How to start

  1. Open an assistant like ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or Cursor and connect ADoor through MCP.
  2. Tell it: “Keep my plants: a Plants list with name, spot and how often to water, and a Plant care log with plant, action, date and note.”
  3. Tell your assistant whenever you water, feed or repot.

Questions people ask

Will it remind me to water?

ADoor doesn’t send notifications. A scheduled task in ChatGPT or Claude can check each morning which plants are due and tell you.

Can a plant sitter use it?

Yes. Give them access to log watering, and remove it when you’re back.

Is ADoor free?

Yes. The free plan holds 3 tables and 100 rows. Pro is $10 a month per workspace, with 1 GB of storage and no per-GB charges.

What happens if I remove someone’s access?

Their next request is refused. What they already saved stays, and the history shows who made each change.
