Keep a list of things to buy
Groceries, a bike light, a birthday card: ADoor, your data account, keeps one list of what you need to buy, sorted by store, and you add to it from whichever assistant you have open.
An example
@ADoor Add oat milk, coffee beans and dish soap. And I need a new bike light from the bike shop.

What you can ask later
- “What do I need from the grocery store?”
- “Mark the coffee and oat milk as bought.”
- “What have I bought most often this month?”
- “Is there anything on the list older than two weeks?”
Who can see what
- Only you by default.
- Someone running errands for you can get access to the Grocery entries only, to read and tick off items.
- For a list the whole household shares, see Start a shared household list.
How it compares with a to-do or list app
List apps like Apple Reminders and AnyList are better at the moment of shopping: tapping items off, sorting by aisle and working offline in a basement store.
Capture is where ADoor wins. Add things in the conversation where you noticed you need them. Bought items stay as history, so your assistant can see your usual brand and how often you buy coffee.
How to start
- Connect ADoor to your assistant. ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Cursor all connect through MCP.
- Tell it: “Keep a shopping list for me: item, store, date added and whether it’s bought.”
- Add things the moment you notice you’re out.
Questions people ask
Can I tick items off in the store?
Yes, by telling your assistant. If you prefer tapping, keep using a list app for the trip and ADoor for capture.
Does it remember what I usually buy?
Yes. Bought items stay in the list, so your assistant can suggest the usual.
Do I have to pay?
Not on the free plan, which holds 3 tables and 100 rows. Pro is $10 a month per workspace, with 1 GB of storage and no per-GB charges.
Which assistants work with ADoor?
