Keep a daily work log
A few lines from each person and each agent about what they did today. Anyone can catch up on the week, or ask what the agents did overnight.
An example
@ADoor Log for today: shipped the webhook retry fix, reviewed Kim's migration PR, started on the billing page. Blocked on the Stripe test keys.
ADoor Added 1 entry to Work log
What you can ask later
- “What did the team get done this week?”
- “What’s blocking people right now?”
- “What did the agents do overnight?”
- “When did we last touch the billing page?”
Who can see what
- Everyone on the team adds entries and reads everyone’s.
- Agents add entries with add-only access, and can’t edit or delete any.
- A manager reads the log for the weekly update, and edits nothing.
How it compares with Slack updates or a shared doc
Slack is better for conversation and quick reactions. A shared doc is better for a long narrative.
The record is what ADoor keeps: one entry per person or agent per day, searchable, with “what’s blocked?” answered in one question.
How to start
- Sign in to ADoor and connect an assistant like ChatGPT. Claude, Grok and Cursor connect the same way, through MCP.
- Tell it: “Set up a work log: Work log (date, who, did, next, blocked).”
- Give each agent add-only access, so it can add entries but can’t edit or delete any.
Questions people ask
Can agents write to it?
Yes, each with its own add-only access.
Do we still need standups?
It can feed them. See Collect standup notes from assistants.
Is ADoor free?
Yes. The free plan holds 3 tables and 100 rows. Pro is $10 a month per workspace, with 1 GB of storage and no per-GB charges.
Can I export everything?
Yes, as CSV or JSON, whenever you want. Ask your assistant for the export or download it yourself.
