Track a collection

Records, cards, Lego sets: what you own, its condition, what you paid, and the list of what you’re still hunting for. At a flea market, ask your assistant whether you already have it.

An example

@ADoor Got Kind of Blue, 2015 reissue, near mint, 28 at the flea market. Also add the Millennium Falcon 75192 to my Lego wishlist.

What you can ask later

  • “Which Blue Note records do I have?”
  • “What has the collection cost me so far?”
  • “What’s been on my wishlist longest?”
  • “Do I already own this one?”

Who can see what

  • Only you by default.
  • A friend you trade with can get read access to your wishlist and doubles, without prices.
  • Family can read the wishlist for gift ideas.

How it compares with Discogs or a collector app

Discogs is better for records: it identifies exact pressings and shows what they sell for. Brickset does the same for Lego.

If you collect more than one kind of thing, or care about details those sites don’t track (where you found it, who gave it to you, what you paid), ADoor holds it all with the fields you choose. Your assistant can check it from the record store aisle.

How to start

  1. Sign in to ADoor and connect an assistant like ChatGPT. Claude, Grok and Cursor connect the same way, through MCP.
  2. Tell it: “Keep my record collection: artist, title, pressing, condition, price paid and where I got it, plus a wishlist.”
  3. Hand your assistant a Discogs or Brickset CSV export to fill in what you already own.
