Keep a customer support log
Who reported what, how it was fixed and which problems keep coming back. Support logs each issue in a sentence, and engineering can ask what hurt customers most this month.
An example
@ADoor Calder reported that invoice PDFs show US date formats for their Swedish customers. Second time this month. Workaround: set the locale on the account.
ADoor Added 1 entry to Support issues
What you can ask later
- “What are the top five recurring issues this month?”
- “What fixed the SSO login loop last time?”
- “Which customers have reported more than three issues this quarter?”
- “Which issues are still waiting on engineering?”
- “Chart new issues per week by category.”
Who can see what
- Support adds and edits issues.
- A support bot gets add-only access to Support issues, and can’t read account values or other customers’ issues.
- Engineering reads issues tagged for them and edits status.
How it compares with Zendesk or Intercom
Help desks like Zendesk and Intercom are better at the inbox: email and chat channels, SLAs, macros and a customer-facing help center.
Alongside a help desk, ADoor is the log of what keeps going wrong and what fixed it: shared with engineering and product, readable by your agents, and open to plain SQL for trend questions a help desk report doesn’t cover.
How to start
- Sign in to ADoor, then add it to an assistant like ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or Cursor through MCP.
- Tell it: “Set up a support log: Support issues (customer, issue, category, count, status, fix) and Customers.”
- Give engineering read access to issues tagged for them, and a support bot add-only access.
Questions people ask
Do we still need a help desk?
Not for email and chat channels. Use it alongside, for the shared log.
Can a bot add tickets?
Yes. Give it add access only, so it can’t read or change the rest.
What does it cost?
Nothing on the free plan, which holds 3 tables and 100 rows. Pro is $10 a month per workspace, with 1 GB of storage and no per-GB charges.
Can I take access back?
Yes, at any time. It applies from their next request, and their earlier entries stay with their name on them.
