Start a lightweight issue tracker
Bugs and tasks with status, owner and priority, filed from an assistant like ChatGPT or straight from Cursor while you work. Ask what’s blocking the release.
An example
@ADoor File a bug: the invoice PDF shows the wrong VAT for Norwegian customers. High priority, give it to Kim.
ADoor Added 1 entry to Issues
What you can ask later
- “What’s open and high priority?”
- “What did I close this week?”
- “Which issues have been in progress for more than ten days?”
- “What’s blocking the release?”
- “Chart open issues per week for the last quarter.”
Who can see what
- The team files and updates issues.
- Cursor can read issues and add comments while you work, with the same access you have or less.
- A contractor sees only the issues in their project.
- A CI job gets short-lived access to mark issues fixed on deploy.
How it compares with Jira or Linear
Jira is better for large organizations with workflows, sprints, approvals and hundreds of integrations. Linear is better for speed, keyboard shortcuts and a polished board.
A team that wants to file and track issues from chat, next to its other data, can start in ADoor with no setup. Access per project and short-lived CI access come with it.
How to start
- Open an assistant like ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or Cursor and connect ADoor through MCP.
- Tell it: “Set up an issue tracker: Issues (title, description, priority, owner, status, project) and Comments.”
- Give contractors access to their own project’s issues (one grant per person), and connect a CI job to mark issues fixed on deploy.
Questions people ask
Does it have boards and sprints?
No. Ask your assistant for any view you need.
Can I start from chat?
Yes. Tell your assistant about the issue, and it’s added to the list. To bring issues over from Jira, export them as CSV and attach the file in your assistant.
Is ADoor free?
Yes. The free plan holds 3 tables and 100 rows. Pro is $10 a month per workspace, with 1 GB of storage and no per-GB charges.
Does it work with Claude and Grok too?
Yes. ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Cursor all connect through MCP with a sign-in, and each gets its own access that you can narrow or remove later.
