Start a movie and TV tracker
What you’ve watched, what you thought of it, and what friends told you to see next. Tell your assistant when the credits roll, and ADoor, your data account, keeps the list.
An example
@ADoor We watched Past Lives last night, I'd give it a 9. Also add Shōgun to my to-watch list, my sister recommended it.
ADoor Added 2 entries to Watchlist
What you can ask later
- “What’s on my to-watch list that’s under two hours?”
- “Which movies did I rate 9 or higher this year?”
- “Who recommended the shows I haven’t started yet?”
- “What did I watch in the summer?”
Who can see what
- Only you by default.
- Your partner can add and rate from their own assistant. Give them their own Rating field if you want two opinions per movie.
- A friend can get read access to just your Watched entries for recommendations, without seeing your notes field.
How it compares with Letterboxd or a notes app
If you want the social side, use Letterboxd or Trakt: reviews from other people, posters, lists to follow and automatic tracking from streaming services. ADoor has none of that.
Use ADoor for a list that is entirely yours and shaped the way you think. Add fields like who recommended it, where it streams or who you watched it with, and ask questions across them in plain words. A notes app holds the same titles, but your assistant can’t reliably filter or update it.
How to start
- Connect ADoor to your assistant. ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Cursor all connect through MCP.
- Tell it: “Keep a list of movies and shows for me: title, type, status (to watch or watched), date watched, rating out of 10 and who recommended it.”
- Give each film a score when it ends. When a friend recommends something, say who.

Can I get my data out?
