Start a shared household list

ADoor, your data account, keeps one grocery list for your household. Everyone adds to it from their own assistant, and whoever goes to the store asks what’s needed.

An example

@ADoor We're out of milk and eggs, and Leo wants pasta for Thursday.

ADoor Added 3 entries to Groceries

What you can ask later

  • “I’m at the store, what do we need?”
  • “Mark everything in the dairy section as bought.”
  • “Who added the oat milk, and is it for something?”
  • “What do we buy every week that we could put on a standing order?”

Who can see what

  • Everyone in the household adds and ticks off items from their own assistant. Each entry shows who added it.
  • Kids can add to the list but can’t delete other people’s items.
  • A grandparent who helps with shopping gets access to Groceries and nothing else in the family space.
  • Each person’s assistant acts with that person’s access, never more.

How it compares with a shared notes or list app

Shared list apps like AnyList, Bring! or Apple Reminders are better for tapping items off in the store, sorting by aisle and working offline.

Getting items onto the list is where ADoor helps. Nobody has to open a particular app: everyone adds from the assistant they already talk to, in whatever words they use. The list keeps history, so you can ask what you buy every week.

How to start

  1. Sign in to ADoor, then add it to an assistant like ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or Cursor through MCP.
  2. Tell it: “Make a grocery list our household shares: item, added by, what it’s for, and bought. Then invite the others.”
  3. Each person connects whichever assistant they already use, and gets access to Groceries.

Questions people ask

Does everyone need the same assistant?

No. One person can use ChatGPT and another Claude. They all reach the same list.

Can I add things by voice?

Yes, if your assistant takes voice input. ADoor gets the same request either way.

Is ADoor free?

Yes. The free plan holds 3 tables and 100 rows. Pro is $10 a month per workspace, with 1 GB of storage and no per-GB charges.

What if someone leaves?

Remove their access and it stops working on their next request. The history still shows what they added and changed.
