How to connect ChatGPT and Claude to the same data

Connect both to the same ADoor space over MCP. A list one assistant starts, the other can read and update, each with its own scoped access, so you stop re-explaining the same things in every chat.

Connect your assistant. ADoor opens in your browser, where you sign in or create your account, choose a space and approve.

Can ChatGPT and Claude work together?

Not directly. ChatGPT and Claude each keep their own chats, projects and memory, and neither can read the other's. They can work from the same data: connect both to one ADoor space, and a list ChatGPT starts is there when you open Claude.

@ADoor Start a reading list for me: title, author, and whether I've read it.

Reading list

That was ChatGPT. The next day, ask Claude “What's still unread on my reading list?” and it answers from the same list.

How to share data from ChatGPT to Claude

The MCP server is https://app.adoor.halmoslabs.com/mcp for both. Sign-in uses OAuth, so there is no key to paste.

  1. ChatGPT: Plugins, then Add custom MCP server. Choose OAuth.
  2. Claude: Customize, then Connectors, then add a custom connector. Keep OAuth.
  3. Each one opens ADoor in your browser. Sign in, choose the same space for both, and approve.
  4. Start a list in ChatGPT, and ask about it in Claude.

The connect guide has the details.

Add Cursor and Grok too

  • Grok: on grok.com, Connectors, then New Connector, then Custom, with the same URL.
  • Cursor: add ADoor under mcpServers in ~/.cursor/mcp.json with the same URL. An agent can then read the list while it works, or add to it.

Who can see what

  • Each assistant reaches only the space you chose when you connected it.
  • One assistant can read only. Give Cursor read access and ChatGPT read and add, for example.
  • People you share with connect their own assistants, with their own access.
  • The history shows which assistant changed what, and the before and after.

Questions people ask

Can ChatGPT and Claude work together?

Yes, through the same data. Connect both to one ADoor space over MCP, and a list ChatGPT starts is there when you open Claude, each with its own access.

How do I share data from ChatGPT to Claude?

Connect both to the same ADoor space over MCP, at https://app.adoor.halmoslabs.com/mcp. What ChatGPT writes to that space, Claude can read and update.

Can Claude use what I told ChatGPT?

Not on its own. ChatGPT's memory and chat history stay in ChatGPT, and Claude can't read them. What an assistant writes to your ADoor space, every assistant you connect to that space can read.

Do I have to set up the list in each assistant?

No. Set it up once in any assistant. The others find it in the same space.

Can I take an assistant's access back?

Yes, at any time in ADoor. It applies from its next request, and what it wrote stays.

Is it free?

A free workspace holds 1 space with 3 tables and 100 rows. Pro is $10 a month per workspace, with 1 GB of storage. See pricing.
