ADoor vs Claude Projects
Claude Projects are workspaces in Claude with shared files, instructions and memory for related chats. ADoor, your data account, keeps your lists and tables outside any one assistant, so the data travels with you: Claude, ChatGPT, Grok and Cursor read and change the same records, each with its own access, and a new chat doesn't start cold.
Where ADoor stands out
Every assistant, one source
A Claude project lives in Claude. ADoor's MCP server works in ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Cursor, so a list updated in one is current in all.
Records you can change
Project knowledge is files Claude reads, with RAG when it grows. ADoor keeps entries any assistant can add, edit and query in SQL.
Access per field
Claude projects are shared as Can view or Can edit. In ADoor, access is per list or field, or to the entries that match a value you choose, with separate add, edit and delete.

ADoor
ADoor is your data account. You keep lists and tables in a workspace you own, personal or team: a reading list, an incident log, a list of customers. Describe what you want to keep track of and it's set up for you, with real Postgres underneath. Every person, app, assistant, device and job gets its own access.
- Assistants
- ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Cursor connect through MCP with a sign-in.
- Apps and scripts
- An HTTP API with keys, running the same actions assistants use
- Access
- Per space, list or field, or just the entries where a field equals a value you choose. Reading, adding, editing and deleting entries, and changing a list's fields, are separate permissions. An assistant never gets more than the person who connected it.
- Approvals
- Agents ask for more access and you approve or deny. A new device signs in only after you approve it and choose its access.
- CI jobs
- GitHub Actions signs in with short-lived access, 15 minutes by default and up to 30 days, with no stored secret.
- Revoking
- Takes effect on the next request. What was already saved stays.
- History
- A history of changes, with who made each one and the before and after
- Underneath
- Standard Postgres
- Plans
- Free for 3 tables and 100 rows. Pro is $10 a month per workspace, with 1 GB of storage.

Claude Projects vs ChatGPT Projects: where does the data live?
Both keep their data inside one assistant. A Claude project's files, instructions and chats live in Claude, and a ChatGPT project's live in ChatGPT. Neither can read the other, so moving between them means copying files and re-explaining the context.
ADoor keeps the lists and tables in your own account. Claude, ChatGPT, Grok and Cursor connect to the same space over MCP, so the data travels with you from one assistant to the next. See how to connect ChatGPT and Claude to the same data.
Questions people ask
Can Claude Projects be shared?
Yes, on Claude's Team and Enterprise plans: with people in your organization, as Can view or Can edit, or with the whole organization. Chats in a project stay private unless you share them. ADoor lists can be shared with anyone you invite, down to one list, specific fields, or just the entries that match a value you choose, and each person uses their own assistant.
Can Claude use what I told ChatGPT?
Not on its own. ChatGPT's memory and projects stay in ChatGPT. What an assistant writes to your ADoor space, Claude can read too.
Can I use ADoor inside a Claude project?
Yes. Connect ADoor in Claude and the project's chats can use it.
Can ADoor hold project files?
No. ADoor has no file storage; keep documents in the project.
Which assistants work with ADoor?
ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Cursor connect through MCP with a sign-in. You approve each one and choose what it can reach.
