ADoor vs Mem0

Mem0 is a memory layer for AI agents and apps that stores what an agent learns from conversations. ADoor, your data account, keeps structured records, with fields you choose, that people, apps and assistants share with their own access.

Where ADoor stands out

Records people can read

Mem0 extracts memories from conversations. In ADoor, entries are records with fields that a person can read, correct and export.

Access per field

In ADoor you can share a list without one field, or let an agent add but never delete.

Approvals

In ADoor a new agent or device waits for your approval.

The products

Mem0

Mem0 is a hosted and open-source memory layer for AI agents.

Assistants
A hosted MCP server at mcp.mem0.ai/mcp; sign in, or an API key for headless use
Plans
Hobby is free with 10,000 add and 1,000 retrieval requests a month. Starter is $19 a month.

ADoor

ADoor is your data account. You keep lists and tables in a workspace you own, personal or team: a reading list, an incident log, a list of customers. Describe what you want to keep track of and it's set up for you, with real Postgres underneath. Every person, app, assistant, device and job gets its own access.

Assistants
ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Cursor connect through MCP with a sign-in.
Apps and scripts
An HTTP API with keys, running the same actions assistants use
Access
Per space, list or field, or just the entries where a field equals a value you choose. Reading, adding, editing and deleting entries, and changing a list's fields, are separate permissions. An assistant never gets more than the person who connected it.
Approvals
Agents ask for more access and you approve or deny. A new device signs in only after you approve it and choose its access.
CI jobs
GitHub Actions signs in with short-lived access, 15 minutes by default and up to 30 days, with no stored secret.
Revoking
Takes effect on the next request. What was already saved stays.
History
A history of changes, with who made each one and the before and after
Underneath
Standard Postgres
Plans
Free for 3 tables and 100 rows. Pro is $10 a month per workspace, with 1 GB of storage.

Which one should you use?

Use Mem0 when

you're building an agent that should remember users from conversation to conversation.

  • Automatic memory. Mem0 extracts memories as conversations happen.
  • Open source. Self-host it if you like.
  • SDKs. Python and JavaScript.

Use ADoor when

the data is shared between people and agents and needs exact limits.

Technical

  • A support agent adds each resolved case to an add-only list, and the team queries it in SQL.
  • A GitHub Actions job updates a Model versions list with 15 minutes of access.
  • A Cursor agent reads a Product facts list maintained by the team, so its answers use the same facts as the support agent.

Personal

  • Pregnancy appointments, scans and questions for the midwife, which your partner updates from ChatGPT.
  • Your kids' friends: parents' numbers, allergies and who picks up whom. The other parents add their own details (one grant per person).

Team

  • A sales team's agent reads Accounts but never Contract value.
  • A history of changes shows who corrected which customer detail.
  • Support leads approve each new agent before it connects, and revoke one that misbehaves on the next request.

Business

  • Customer-facing agents read a Policies list, and only legal edits it.
  • A partner's agent gets access to one list, which you revoke on the next request when needed.
  • An insurer's claims assistant adds new claims but can't read Payout, which only adjusters see.
