Apps come and go. Your data stays.
With a data account, your apps and assistants keep your data in your account, not theirs. When you stop using an app, or it shuts down, your lists and tables stay in your space, and your other assistants can still read them.
Do you own your data in ChatGPT or Claude?
What you tell ChatGPT or Claude is kept by that service, under its terms. You can export your chats from each, but the memory and projects one assistant keeps don't travel to the other, so every new assistant starts cold and you explain it all again.
The same goes for most apps: your runs live in one app, your reading list in another, and a spreadsheet holds the rest together.
What happens to your data when an app shuts down?
The app decides. When a tracker changes its plan, breaks its sync or closes, your history goes with it, unless you exported it in time. If the app kept your data in your own account, nothing is lost.
A data account: your data, your rules
ADoor is your data account. It holds workspaces, personal or team. Each workspace holds spaces, and each space holds lists and tables on real Postgres.
- You decide who gets in. Each person, app and assistant gets its own access: a space, one table, some fields or certain entries.
- Access comes and goes. Revoke an app or assistant, and it loses access on its next request. What it wrote stays.
- Recent changes are kept. The history shows who changed what, with the before and after.
- You can leave with it. Export any table as CSV or JSON.
What you can connect today
- ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Cursor, over MCP with a sign-in.
- Apps and scripts you build, through the HTTP API with a key.
- GitHub Actions jobs, with short-lived access.
Login with ADoor is coming soon. It will let other people's apps sign you in and keep their data in a space in your account.
