# Share a research reading list

Papers the group is reading, who read what, a two-line summary and what’s up for journal club. Before you start a paper, ask whether someone already summarized it.

## An example

**You:** Add "Attention Is All You Need", Vaswani et al. 2017. I read it, key idea is self-attention instead of recurrence. Suggest it for journal club.

**ADoor:** Added 1 entry to Papers

**Papers**

| Title | Year | Read by | Journal club |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Attention Is All You Need | 2017 | Mira | Suggested |

## What you can ask later

- “What has someone in the group already read on retrieval?”
- “What’s up for journal club next week?”
- “Which papers did more than two people flag as important?”
- “Summarize what we’ve noted on diffusion models.”

## Who can see what

- **Group members** add papers and their own notes, and read everyone’s.
- **Visiting students** can read the list without editing others’ notes.
- **Collaborators at another university** can get access to one topic’s papers only.

## How it compares with Zotero or Mendeley

Zotero is better at the reference work: saving PDFs, citation styles and plugins for your word processor.

The group’s shared memory fits ADoor well: who read what and what they thought, in a form anyone’s assistant can ask about.

## How to start

1. Connect ADoor to your assistant. ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Cursor all connect through MCP.
2. Tell it: “Keep our group’s reading list: Papers (title, authors, year, link, topic, read by, summary, journal club).”
3. Invite the group, and give outside collaborators access to one topic.

## Questions people ask

### Can I start from chat?

Yes. Tell your assistant about a paper, and it’s added to the list. To bring your Zotero library over, export it as CSV and attach the file in your assistant.

### Can it store the PDFs?

ADoor doesn’t store files. Save the link or DOI.

### How much does ADoor cost?

The free plan holds 3 tables and 100 rows, enough to start a list like this. Pro is $10 a month per workspace, with 1 GB of storage and no per-GB charges.

### Can I get my data out?

Yes. Anything you can see downloads as CSV or JSON.
