# Start a recipe collection

The family recipes that live in someone’s head, and the ones you found online and changed. ADoor, your data account, keeps them with ingredients, time and how much you liked them, so your assistant can pick tonight’s dinner.

## An example

**You:** Save my mum's lentil soup: red lentils, onion, carrot, cumin, stock, lemon. Takes 40 minutes, serves 4. We love it.

**ADoor:** Added 1 entry to Recipes

**Recipes**

| Name | Main ingredients | Time | Rating |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Lentil soup (Mum's) | Red lentils, carrot, cumin | 40 min | 5 |

## What you can ask later

- “What can I make with chickpeas and spinach in under 30 minutes?”
- “Which recipes did we rate 5 that we haven’t made in a month?”
- “Plan four dinners from my favorites and write the shopping list.”
- “Which recipes came from Mum?”

## Who can see what

- **Only you** by default.
- **Family** can read the whole collection and add their own recipes (one grant per person), while only you can edit or delete yours.
- **A friend** can get read access to a few recipes you pick, without seeing the rest.

## How it compares with Paprika or a recipe app

Paprika is hard to beat at clipping recipes from websites with photos, scaling servings and showing a cooking view with timers.

ADoor is a better home for recipes you say in your own words, with notes on what you changed. Ask your assistant for a plan that uses what’s in the fridge, and it can put the ingredients on your shopping list in the same account.

## How to start

1. Sign in to ADoor and connect an assistant like ChatGPT. Claude, Grok and Cursor connect the same way, through MCP.
2. Tell it: “Keep my recipes: name, ingredients, steps, time, servings, rating and where it came from.”
3. Next time someone cooks a family favorite, ask them to tell their assistant how they make it.

## Questions people ask

### Can I add recipes from websites?

Yes. Paste the link or text in your assistant and ask it to save the recipe.

### Can it make a shopping list?

Yes. Ask for the ingredients of the week’s recipes and save them to your shopping list.

### What does ADoor cost?

It’s free for up to 3 tables and 100 rows. Pro is $10 a month per workspace, with 1 GB of storage and no per-GB charges.

### What if someone leaves?

Remove their access and it stops working on their next request. The history still shows what they added and changed.
