# Track job applications

Every application, which stage it’s at, who you spoke to and what you promised to send. After each call, tell your assistant what happened, and it keeps the search moving.

## An example

**You:** Applied to Klarna for Senior Product Designer today via their site. Recruiter is Jonas. Also, Spotify invited me to a second interview on Thursday at 2.

**ADoor:** Added 1 entry and updated 1 in Applications

**Applications**

| Company | Role | Stage | Next step |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Klarna | Senior Product Designer | Applied | Follow up Oct 27 |
| Spotify | Product Designer | Interview 2 | Thu Oct 22, 14:00 |

## What you can ask later

- “What needs a follow-up this week?”
- “How many applications have I sent, and how many got a reply?”
- “What did I prepare for the last Spotify interview?”
- “Which companies did a friend refer me to?”
- “Chart my applications by stage as a funnel.”

## Who can see what

- **Only you** by default.
- **A career coach or mentor** can get read access to Applications without your salary notes field.
- **A friend referring you** can add a referral entry, nothing more.

## How it compares with Huntr, Teal or a spreadsheet

Huntr and Teal can save postings from job boards with a browser extension and tailoring your resume.

With ADoor, an update is one sentence after each call, and your assistant can prepare you for the next round from your own notes on the last one. Ask what needs a follow-up, and it can draft the email too.

## How to start

1. Connect ADoor to your assistant. ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Cursor all connect through MCP.
2. Tell it: “Track my job applications: company, role, date applied, stage, contacts, next step and notes.”
3. After each application or call, tell your assistant what happened and what’s next.
