# Start a home inventory

What you own, which room it’s in, what it cost and when the warranty runs out. When the dishwasher breaks or you need to file an insurance claim, ask your assistant instead of digging through emails.

## What you can ask later

- “What’s still under warranty?”

## Who can see what

- **Only you** by default.
- **Your partner** can add and edit items from their own assistant.
- **An insurance claim**: export the list as CSV, or give someone read access to the items in one room without prices.

## How it compares with a spreadsheet or a home inventory app

Dedicated inventory apps like Sortly are better at photos, barcode labels and printing QR codes for boxes. ADoor doesn’t store files or photos, so keep receipts in your email or file storage and save the receipt number in ADoor.

## Questions people ask

### Can I store receipt photos?

No. ADoor keeps records, and doesn’t store files. Save the receipt number or a link to where the photo lives.

### Can it help when I move?

Yes. Add a Box field and ask your assistant what’s in box 12.

### What does it cost?

Nothing on the free plan, which holds 3 tables and 100 rows. Pro is $10 a month per workspace, with 1 GB of storage and no per-GB charges.

### Can I get my data out?

Yes. Anything you can see downloads as CSV or JSON.
