# Keep a family schedule

Pickups, activities, dentist appointments and birthdays, with who’s driving. Whoever hears about a change first tells their assistant, and the whole family sees it.

## An example

**You:** I can't do Wednesday pickup this week, can you put Jonas on it? Also Ella has a dentist appointment Friday at 3.

**ADoor:** Updated 1 entry and added 1 to Schedule

**Schedule**

| When | What | Who | Driver |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Wed Oct 21, 15:30 | School pickup | Ella, Leo | Jonas |
| Fri Oct 23, 15:00 | Dentist | Ella | Anna |
| Sat Oct 24 | Grandma's 80th | Everyone | – |

## What you can ask later

- “Who’s doing pickup tomorrow?”
- “What’s on this weekend?”
- “Which days next week do we both work late?”
- “Whose birthdays are coming up this month?”

## Who can see what

- **Both parents** add and change entries from their own assistants.
- **Older kids** can read the whole schedule and add their own plans (one grant per person).
- **A grandparent who helps out** can read the pickups they’re on, and nothing else.

## How it compares with a shared calendar

A shared calendar like Google Calendar is better at alerts, invitations and seeing the week at a glance on your phone. Keep using it for that.

ADoor holds the details a calendar can’t answer: who drives, who packs what, which week is whose. Ask in plain words, and the answer can combine the schedule with your family’s other lists.

## How to start

1. Sign in to ADoor and connect an assistant like ChatGPT. Claude, Grok and Cursor connect the same way, through MCP.
2. Tell it: “Make a family schedule: when, what, who it’s for, who drives, and notes. Invite my partner.”
3. Give a grandparent read access to the pickups they’re on.
