# Keep a food log

ADoor, your data account, keeps a food log you fill in by talking to an assistant like ChatGPT or Claude, so logging a meal takes one sentence instead of searching an app.

## An example

**You:** Lunch was a chicken wrap and an apple, breakfast was two eggs on toast.

**ADoor:** Added 3 entries to Meals

**Meals**

| Date | Meal | Food | Calories | Protein (g) |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Oct 20 | Breakfast | 2 eggs on toast | 340 | 19 |
| Oct 20 | Lunch | Chicken wrap | 520 | 34 |
| Oct 20 | Lunch | Apple | 95 | 0 |

## What you can ask later

- “How many calories did I average per day this week?”
- “Which days did I get less than 100 g of protein?”
- “What do I usually eat for lunch on workdays?”
- “Compare this week with last week.”
- “Show my calories for the last month as a chart, with a line at 2,200.”

## Who can see what

- **Only you** by default. The assistants you connect see your meals because you connected them, and never more than you can see.
- **A coach or dietitian** can get read access to Meals, so they can review your week without being able to change anything.
- **Your partner** can add the dinners you cook together from their own assistant, with access to Meals and nothing else in your account.

## How it compares with a calorie-counting app

Apps like MyFitnessPal and Cronometer are better at the counting itself: they have large food catalogs, barcode scanning and detailed micronutrients. If you want every vitamin tracked from a photo of a label, use one of them.

ADoor is better when the hard part is keeping it up. You log by telling your assistant, in the chat you already have open, and the estimates come from the assistant. Your log is yours to export as CSV or JSON, and it sits next to the rest of what you track, so you can ask how your eating lines up with your workouts or your sleep.

## How to start

1. Sign in to ADoor and connect an assistant like ChatGPT. Claude, Grok and Cursor connect the same way, through MCP.
2. Tell it: “Keep a food log for me. Each entry has the date, the meal, what I ate, calories and protein.”
3. Log meals as you eat them. On Sunday, ask how the week went.

## Questions people ask

### How accurate are the calories?

They are your assistant’s estimates from what you describe. For packaged food, give it the numbers on the label and it saves those instead.

### Can I log from my phone?

Yes. Log from any assistant you have connected to ADoor, on any device where you use it.

### What does it cost?

Nothing on the free plan, which holds 3 tables and 100 rows. Pro is $10 a month per workspace, with 1 GB of storage and no per-GB charges.

### Which assistants work with ADoor?

ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Cursor connect through MCP. You sign in once per assistant, approve it, and choose what it can reach.
