# Start a customer list

Companies, contacts, deals and call notes in ADoor, your data account, updated by telling an assistant like ChatGPT or Claude after each call. It suits a team that mostly needs a record of who said what.

## An example

**You:** Just talked to Sofia Lind at Forma. They want a proposal for 40 seats by Friday. She mentioned they're also looking at a competitor.

**ADoor:** Updated Forma in Deals and added 1 entry to Notes

**Deals**

| Company | Contact | Stage | Next step |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Forma | Sofia Lind | Proposal | Send proposal by Fri |
| Northline | Elliot Park | Qualified | Demo Oct 28 |

## What you can ask later

- “Which deals have had no contact in two weeks?”
- “What did we promise Forma, and who said it?”
- “Show deals in Proposal, with value and owner.”
- “Who at Northline have we talked to?”
- “Chart open deal value by stage and owner.”

## Who can see what

- **Each salesperson** edits their own deals (one grant per person) and reads everyone’s.
- **Finance** reads deal values and edits Discount, which nobody else can change.
- **A support assistant** can add notes to a company without seeing deal values.
- **A partner agency** gets access to the leads they bring, and loses it on the next request when the contract ends.

## How it compares with Attio, HubSpot or Pipedrive

Attio, HubSpot and Pipedrive are better at being a CRM out of the box. They sync email and calendars, enrich companies automatically, run sequences, and come with pipeline boards and reports your whole team knows how to use. If you rely on those, keep paying for them.

ADoor is not a CRM. It makes sense when your team works through assistants and mostly needs a record of who said what. Updates take one sentence, so the list stays current. Fields are yours, access goes down to specific fields or the entries that match a value you choose, and plain SQL works for any report you can think of. It’s free for up to 3 tables and 100 rows, and Pro is $10 a month per workspace.

## How to start

1. Sign in to ADoor and connect an assistant like ChatGPT. Claude, Grok and Cursor connect the same way, through MCP.
2. Tell it: “Start a customer list for us: Companies, Contacts, Deals (company, contact, stage, value, owner, next step) and Notes. Invite the sales team.”
3. Give finance edit access to the Discount field, and nobody else.

## Questions people ask

### Can I move my data from Attio or HubSpot?

Yes. Export as CSV, attach the files in your assistant and ask it to import them into your lists.

### Does ADoor sync my email?

No. ADoor has no sync connectors. Tell your assistant what matters from a call or email, or paste it in.

### What does ADoor cost?

It’s free for up to 3 tables and 100 rows. Pro is $10 a month per workspace, with 1 GB of storage and no per-GB charges.

### Which assistants can I use?

Any of ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or Cursor, connected through MCP. Each one asks for your approval, and you decide which lists it can use.
