# Log benchmarks and latency measurements

Benchmark and latency numbers you measure on purpose, each stored with the version, hardware and settings that produced it. Ask whether p95 got worse since the last release.

## An example

**You:** Benchmark for v1.42.1 on the c7g.xlarge runner: p50 38 ms, p95 112 ms, p99 240 ms for the list endpoint, 500 rps.

**ADoor:** Added 3 entries to Benchmarks

**Benchmarks**

| Version | Endpoint | Metric | Value (ms) |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| v1.42.1 | list | p50 | 38 |
| v1.42.1 | list | p95 | 112 |
| v1.42.1 | list | p99 | 240 |

## What you can ask later

- “Did p95 for the list endpoint get worse since v1.40?”
- “Which endpoints are slowest at p99?”
- “Show every benchmark run on the old hardware.”
- “What settings did we use for the 500 rps run?”
- “Chart p50, p95 and p99 for the list endpoint across the last ten versions.”

## Who can see what

- **A CI job** writes results with short-lived access, add-only.
- **Engineers** read everything and add notes.
- **A performance agent** reads results to flag regressions on pull requests.

## How it compares with Grafana or a benchmark dashboard

For live production metrics, alerting and dashboards over millions of data points, keep Grafana or your monitoring tool.

The benchmarks you run on purpose fit ADoor: each result stored with its setup, comparable with plain SQL, and readable by the agent reviewing your next change.

## How to start

1. Sign in to ADoor and connect an assistant like ChatGPT. Claude, Grok and Cursor connect the same way, through MCP.
2. Tell it: “Set up benchmarks: Benchmarks (version, commit, endpoint or test, hardware, settings, metric, value, run at).”
3. Connect your CI job with short-lived, add-only access to write results.

## Questions people ask

### Is this for production monitoring?

No. It’s for benchmark runs. Keep live monitoring in your monitoring tool.

### Can CI write results?

Yes, with short-lived access and no stored secret.

### What does it cost?

Nothing on the free plan, which holds 3 tables and 100 rows. Pro is $10 a month per workspace, with 1 GB of storage and no per-GB charges.

### What if someone leaves?

Remove their access and it stops working on their next request. The history still shows what they added and changed.
