# Invite people

On Access, choose Invite. Enter the person's email and the access they should have. Viewer, editor, and owner are presets. A custom grant can name a space or a table.

ADoor returns an invitation link. The person signs in and opens it. The link names the workspace: `#/w/<workspace>/invite/<token>`. Inviting someone requires permission to manage people. Invitation sending is not a plan cap.

The same operation is `members.invite` in the [API](/docs/reference/api/). Pass `role` or `permissions`, not both. Omitting both invites a viewer. The key needs permission to manage people.
