# ADoor vs Attio

Attio is a CRM with custom objects and automatic enrichment, and its MCP server asks before an assistant writes. ADoor, your data account, keeps any kind of record, CRM or not, and applies access per field and approvals to every assistant, device and CI job.

## Where ADoor stands out

### Beyond customer records

Attio's objects are built around customer relationships. ADoor holds suppliers, inventory, appointments or anything else, created from a chat in ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or Cursor.

### Access below the workspace

Attio's MCP signs in as your Attio user, with reads auto-approved and writes asking first. In ADoor you can also limit an assistant to one list, or a list without one field.

### Short-lived CI access

A GitHub Actions job gets ADoor access for 15 minutes by default, with no stored secret.

## The products

### Attio

Attio is a CRM with custom objects and automatic enrichment.

Assistants
: A hosted MCP server at mcp.attio.com/mcp with OAuth; reads auto-approved, writes ask for approval

Change history
: Attio says all MCP operations are logged and auditable

Plans
: Free for up to 3 seats. Plus is $35 per user a month billed yearly.

### ADoor

ADoor is your data account. You keep lists and tables in a workspace you own, personal or team: a reading list, an incident log, a list of customers. Describe what you want to keep track of and it's set up for you, with real Postgres underneath. Every person, app, assistant, device and job gets its own access.

Assistants
: ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Cursor connect through MCP with a sign-in.

Apps and scripts
: An HTTP API with keys, running the same actions assistants use

Access
: Per space, list or field, or just the entries where a field equals a value you choose. Reading, adding, editing and deleting entries, and changing a list's fields, are separate permissions. An assistant never gets more than the person who connected it.

Approvals
: Agents ask for more access and you approve or deny. A new device signs in only after you approve it and choose its access.

CI jobs
: GitHub Actions signs in with short-lived access, 15 minutes by default and up to 30 days, with no stored secret.

Revoking
: Takes effect on the next request. What was already saved stays.

History
: A history of changes, with who made each one and the before and after

Underneath
: Standard Postgres

Plans
: Free for 3 tables and 100 rows. Pro is $10 a month per workspace, with 1 GB of storage.

## Which one should you use?

### Use Attio when

you want a CRM with enrichment, email sync and pipelines, used by assistants with care.

- **A modern CRM.** Attio is built for customer relationships.
- **Write approvals already.** Its MCP asks before writes.
- **Enrichment.** Records fill in from company data.

### Use ADoor when

the data around your CRM needs the same care, and each assistant should see only its part.

**Technical**
- A GitHub Actions job writes each deploy to a Releases list with 15 minutes of access, which customer success reads.
- A support bot adds tickets to an add-only list and can't read Account value.

**Personal**
- The people in your network: mentors, former colleagues and what you last talked about. You ask Claude who to reach out to this month.
- Offers on your house sale, with agent, buyer, conditions and deadline, shared with your partner.

**Team**
- Sales and finance share a Renewals list: sales edits status, only finance edits Discount.
- Product reads customer feedback without seeing contact details.

**Business**
- A partner agency reads and adds leads to one list, and you revoke it when the contract ends.
- Each region sees only its own suppliers in a company-wide list.
